Tomoe Gozen appears in the historical record as one of the most capable warriors of Japan’s late Heian period and the earliest well-documented female samurai tied to major political events. The Heike Monogatari describes her as strong, disciplined and trusted with command, riding into battle with the same authority as the men beside her. She earned respect through demonstrated skill, not explanation or status, operating in a world where credibility was proven under pressure. We chose Tomoe as this month’s featured woman because her story is a clear reminder that confidence and honing your skill to such a degree that it’s undeniable will always prevail.
The Sustainable Factor
School of Badassery only makes clothes when they are ordered to minimizing waste. In addition, our items are made with love and durability in mind so we can all be part of a slow fashion movement.

Our manufacturer only uses eco-friendly and recycled materials in their packaging.
Some packages will be in plastic, however, all plastic is post-consumer recycled so it gets another life!

They use non-hazardous, toxin-free, and biodegradable ink, and are constantly improving their development of eco-friendly fabrics.

Return Policy
Our return policy applies to most items, but please note the following exceptions:
- Hygiene-sensitive items such as tights, underwear, pajamas, swimsuits, socks, and masks
- Sample products -Intentionally damaged items
- Items returned more than 7 days after receipt
- Correctly printed custom orders that the customer no longer wants (e.g., wrong size or changed mind)
- Items delayed due to incorrect shipping details provided by the customer

Why does the shipping take longer than Amazon?
We are a small company who has decided to use print-on-demand services so we don’t contribute to the landfill crisis by over printing inventory.
Each item is printed when it’s ordered.
We use two print-on-demand companies who service many small companies like ours. As much as we’d like to make it a 2-day thing, that’s not possible.
BUT our items are made with the thinking that you’ll cherish and love it when it arrives. They are designed and made with you in mind <3.
